Soooo you may know I took a little break from the kitchen, but not really. I shut down the mass production side of Muffcakes Bakery last February and went back to what I do best, creating.
I had some friends (you know who you are!) who refused to stop ordering for birthdays and weddings, and I am honored to still be able to make you treats. Honestly, it kept me in the game. Being a young and naïve entrepreneur when I started this whole thing, I had arrived at the ultimate realization: I had bitten off more than I could chew. So I've spent the past year stewing on my next big thing and how I could incorporate it into both my life and yours.
And I'll tell you what I learned: for me, it will ALWAYS come back to food. Whether that's writing an article, producing something to be packaged and mass distributed, developing recipes to share with the world, or throwing together some random ingredients for lunch and seeing what comes out of the flames. Because I can. And because with each step, I grow and learn and am inspired to share that learning with you.
My goal is this: first, a bakebook. The basics of everything I know and practice when baking, whether Gluten-Free, Vegan, or regular style. Then move on to breakfast, which just so happens to be my favorite meal. And feel it out from there.
Wanna come along for the ride? I'd love the company :)
